These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of bankconvert.com and the BankConvert service ("BankConvert", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the website or service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, accessing the website, or using the service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you use the service on behalf of a company, firm, or client, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
What BankConvert is
BankConvert is a universal bank statement converter. You upload a statement in any supported format, and we detect its layout, extract the transactions, and return a clean file in the output format you select for use in QuickBooks, Xero, Excel, or another accounting system. BankConvert is a data-conversion tool. It does not provide accounting, bookkeeping, or advisory services, and it does not move money or operate your accounts.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use BankConvert. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your account credentials secure, and for the activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or that we cannot reasonably verify.
Your files and ownership
The statements you upload and the converted files you download belong to you. You grant us the limited rights needed to process your file solely to perform the conversion you requested. As described in our Privacy Policy, your file is encrypted, used only for that conversion, and then discarded. We do not sell your data and do not use your statements to train models. You are responsible for having the right to upload and convert each statement you submit.
Accuracy and your review
Auto-extraction is highly accurate across thousands of bank layouts, but no automated conversion is guaranteed to be perfect. Source statements can contain unusual formatting, image quality issues, or errors originating with the bank. You are responsible for reviewing the converted output before importing it into your books or relying on it, and for correcting any discrepancies you find.
Not financial or tax advice
BankConvert converts your statements between formats. It does not provide financial, investment, accounting, or tax advice, and nothing it produces is a recommendation. You are responsible for your accounting, tax, and business decisions, and you should consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to: upload statements or data you do not have the right to access; upload unlawful, infringing, or malicious material; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service, other accounts, or our systems; reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service except as permitted by law; interfere with the integrity or performance of the service; or use the service to violate applicable privacy, financial, or consumer-protection laws. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
Fees and payment
BankConvert is a paid subscription service and does not offer a free plan. Fees are billed in US dollars on a recurring subscription basis. Plan details, billing cycles, and prices are described at the time of purchase. Plans are month to month and you may cancel at any time, with cancellation taking effect at the end of the current billing period. Unless stated otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change pricing on a going-forward basis with reasonable notice.
Service availability
We work to keep the service reliable, but availability is not guaranteed and may be affected by maintenance, updates, or factors outside our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any conversion will be complete or perfectly accurate, or that the output will be fit for any particular accounting or tax purpose. You are responsible for reviewing converted output before use.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BankConvert and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service or any decision made based on its output. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BankConvert from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the service, the statements and data you submit, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the service unlawfully. On termination, your right to use the service ends.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which BankConvert operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The specific governing jurisdiction is set out at the time of purchase or by written agreement.
Changes to these terms
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and BankConvert regarding the service. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
